Started as campus mate Brata and Hadi in one of infamous campus in Jakarta, they're always brainstorming about music especially rock music. They have a few things in commons about taste in music. The band were originally formed by Hadi Andoko (b. 3 July 1982, Ind; guitar/vocals), who had work in Hotel Sentral, Jakarta, and Brata Adhipramana (b. 4 July 1982, Ind; bass/ back vocals). And then they decided to take delight in sharing the intimate details of how they met in 2000 and decided to form a band. These kids starts to look after for a drummer, they met Surachman a.k.a Uung a.k.a RT. They named their band with HELLSOUND and the first formation were Hadi as vocal and guitar, Brata play bass and RT take drums. In their vision on that moment, were only to play music (a hard music such as Punk etc.). So, they’re playing some Nirvana songs and some Pearl Jam’s also. Meanwhile, Hadi still played as vocal and guitar player in PAPERBOX. And then Brata and Hadi were separated, because Hadi moved to another campus in South Jakarta. Briefly, they’re met again on Juli 2006. Hadi had an idea to form another band (probably as his side projects). So, he calls Brata to ask him to play as bass player. But, they don’t have a drum player. And then Hadi introduce his friend named Hendra a.k.a Ghondar to play drum. They still don’t have any names for their brand new band. After several months, they agreed to named their band with BROKENSTEREO. And now, they try to bring back the originals of 90’s rock music and mixed up with a little bit soul of punk. With crunchy guitar sound and easy music arrangements, they also try to take social matters as their inspirations. Influenced by Bush, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, mudhoney, they ready to rock the universe.
